My name is Gina Lissone. For nearly 30 years I worked as a nurse practitioner caring for patients with complex medical needs, including those living with nephrostomy catheters.

When my own husband faced life with not one, but two nephrostomy catheters, I witnessed firsthand the limitations, frustrations, and risks that came with managing them day to day. After one of his catheters became dislodged and had to be reinserted, I knew there had to be a better way.

What type of catheters is NephroWear™ designed for?
NephroWear™ is designed specifically for individuals with nephrostomy catheters, including those with bilateral (two-sided) placements. It is not a general-purpose catheter garment.
Does NephroWear™ work for bilateral nephrostomy (catheters on both sides)?
Yes. The garment features integrated pockets and tubing access on both sides, making it suitable for patients with catheters on one or both sides.
How do I know what size to order?
Please refer to our size chart on each product page. We offer S, M, L, and XL in both men's and women's cuts. When in doubt, size up for comfort. The fabric is 85% polyester / 15% spandex, so it has natural stretch.
How is NephroWear™ different from a regular leg bag holder or catheter strap?
Most leg bag holders are generic band or wrap solutions that don't address the specific needs of nephrostomy patients. NephroWear™ includes a full integrated pocket, a Catheter Support Tunnel for tube routing, silicone grip bands, and a bottom pocket drainage opening, features purpose-built for nephrostomy management, not adapted from a general-purpose product.
Can I machine wash NephroWear™?
Yes. NephroWear™ is machine washable. We recommend a gentle cycle with cold water and air drying to preserve the silicone grip bands and fabric elasticity.
